How snails breathe

People might sometimes wander how snails breathe because it seems that snails do not have noses or something to breathe with. However, a website about land snails tells this. "Snails breathe by taking air into a visceral cavity that is richly supplied with blood vessels—the snail’s version of a lung. When the snail extends from the shell, the access pore can be seen opening and closing just below the margin of the shell on one side. Also, the snail’s heart can be seen pumping blood by placing a snail on the lens of a flashlight and carefully looking through the translucent shell." This tells that snails have a way to breathe and a tool to breathe with but what is funny about snails breathing is that some of the people say that snails breathe through their feet. But actually that’s a mistake because snails do not breathe through their skin. They breathe with skins though. I found appropriate information for that statement and here it goes. “Snails "breathe" through their skin and through an opening called the pneumostome visible on the right side of their bodies.” So this proves that snails do not breathe through their feet but skin. They have their own tool for breathing. Sorry for making you guys feel stupid but it’s true. But if you are still interested in the way of animals breathing try to find about turtles and dragonflies. Frozen lobsters come back to life when thawed

Imagine how surprising it is to see a lobster coming back to life when they are thawed after freezing. In normal life, we usually freeze most of the sea foods in order to make them fresh and tasty. And lobsters are also one of the sea foods that freezes in the refrigerator when they are caught. People might not believe but actually it happens and it's proved. When a restaurant call 'Trufresh' began to freeze lobsters, sometimes later, they found out that some of the lobsters come back to life when they are thawed. So they did a experiment in order to find out that if the lobsters come back to life when they are thawed after freezing. First, they immersed about thirty lobsters in the minus 40 degree brine. After letting them freeze, the lobsters were then thawed in 28 degree sea water. The result was that only two came back to life out of thirty lobsters. Isn't this surprising? The dead lobsters came back to life! WOW! This can be almost call as a resurrection. I bet most of the people do not know about this amazing fact unless they experienced them but I hope they get a chance to look at this. Not only this but other amazing facts which I'm going to post in my whole life (I hope).  Anyway, moving on back to what I was talking about, the reason that the lobsters can resurrect from death is because of their characteristics. It is said that a lobster freezes so quickly that the damage to muscle tissue cells from the formation of ice crystals is minimized. To explain in a easier way, is that a lobster freezes so quickly that the damage to their muscle is minimized while they are freezing. Then people start to ask a same question here. Then how long a lobster can survive after resurrecting from the death (well, this might not be a appropriate word to use in this situation since their muscles are still alive even though they are froze but let's just consider as death. Because I want this entry to be something that's amazing.), how long they can survive? Well, I searched on the internet but I think people were not so interested about this fact, so there were not really accurate answers but so far, it's an overnight. This feels weird, isn't it? live, die, live die. Hilarious! They can die two times!! I wanna have those kinds chance if I can have though. Anyway, this was quite interesting, wasn't it? 90 percent of women who walk into a department store immediately turns to right

No one knows why but 90 percent of women who walk into a department store immediately turns to right. Marketing research proves that most of the people, especially women,turn to right when entering a store and the owners of the stores use that as their advantages for their stores. What they do is that they usually place the higher priced items on the right side and place the lower priced items on the left side and by following the investigation, that way works pretty well. Another way to use that method is that if a department store has a tons of clothes to get rid of, they place them on the right side so that most of the people would look at them buy most of it. What I think about this is that people might think that even the stuffs are placed on the right side, people might not buy them if those stuffs are expensive. Also, stuffs on left side could be better, so if the customers think that the items on the right side are expensive, then they would change their direction to left side and find some better items with cheaper price. However, in my opinion, those kinds of things might not be happen often except for poor people or people like that and it's because that first, when most of the people turn their direction to east, there are pretty much chance for them to buy even though they are expensive. Reason for that is that usually higher priced stuffs have quite good quality so they might attract them to buy those items.

Interesting facts about SNAILLLLLL~~~~~~~

I was looking up for some dumb facts on the internet a few days ago, and I found out that a snail can sleep for three years at a time if they want to. Isn't is quite amazing cause no other living creatures do not sleep for three years at a time. Well, maybe they can't. Anyway, the reason that I found why snails sleep for three years is because of the climate change. Most of the time, snail sleeps and since they sleep most of the time, it is quite rare to see snails appearing at day. The reason why they do not appear in the day is because they need moisture to live and to save moisture, night time should be the favorite time for them to move since in daytime, they have to use more moisture than nighttime. Another reason is to protect their shells and I do not know is this.....

However, when they wake up at night, they move really slowly and cautiously, munching on whatever vegetation they can find or eat. Then how do they find food when they do not have eyes but tentacles? Well, luckily they do have eyes on the end of their tentacles but when they find food, they mostly rely on their sense of touch because they cannot hear and have very poor eyesight 

(I am not sure if they have poor sight because I searched in the internet, why do they have eyes and where do they use that and all I have found was that they do have eyes and for land snails they have on the tip of their tentacles. They said snails move their tentacles up and down and that action helps them to get the best view.). 

Sometimes, you will see that when you touch their eyes, which is end of their tentacles, they will put their eyes back in or they just draw their eyes into head. That is because first, if you touch snails' eyes, they feel pain just like when somebody touches our eyes since there are dirts in humans hand and we just can't see them. Second is that when snails feel threatened or danger, they put their eyes into head for protection. What's quite interesting is that they can even withdraw one tentacle at a time if they want to.

Another interesting fact about snail is that they do not have to find their mates unlike us. Isn't it cool? Because we, humans, have to find our husbands or wives in order to have our children but snails can just lay about 30 eggs at a time by themselves! How cool it is!! But you know what? I do not care because that doesn't affect my life, do they? Let's just go to reasons why snails are like that. Basically, it's because they are hermaphrodites. Each snail can lay about 30 eggs like I just said. They place their eggs underneath a stone for the eggs to hatch.

They produce a slimy gel, that covers the opening of its shell. That slimy gel is one of the reasons why snails do not get hurt even they cross the edge of a razor or other spiky materials. When snails crawl, there is a trail of slime left behind. Anyway, they can even climb up the walls upside down, because of the slime that is produced by their bodies. It would've been great if humans can also produce slime that makes humans to climb up the walls upside down without any problems.

When the weather gets uncomfortable for snails, they bury themselves underground for warmth and then they make a really small hole that allows the air to come in and out. They also produce slimy gel that covers their opening shall like I just said for protection. They stay in the ground until the climate gets better. However, if the weather does not get better or suitable for snails to live, they even hibernate or sleep for three to years until the weather gets suitable for them. Isn't it surprising?? There should be no humans can beat this record. Sleeping for three years......

People can be up to 2 inches while they are in space

Did you know that humans are up to 2 inches tall while they are in space? Probably not. Well, anyway, it is proved that the vertebrae in your back form a giant spring, Pushing down on the spring keeps it coiled tightly and when the force is released, the spring stretches out. In the same way, the spine elongates by up to three percent while humans travel in space. There is less gravity pushing down on the vertebrae, so they can stretch out about up to 3 inches in maximum. But unfortunately, if you come back to earth your height becomes the same as it used to be since the force is not allowing your back to stretch out anymore in the earth. 

3,000 years ago, most of the Egyptians died at about age 30!!

Imagine people dying at about age 30....That would be a surprise to many people. However, it is true that 3,000 years ago, Egyptians died at about age 30. Let's find out some reasons for that. Here are some examples for you guys. The first reason is because that they used their own feces for medical purposes which sounds disgusting. Try to think a person near you use your own feces for his medical purposes. Isn't it making you vomit? That is something that giving a nauseous feelings to people No wander they died so early. Well, anyway, let's go for second reason. Second, is because they used the blood for variety of uses.  I'm not sure how did they use their own blood but maybe they used to drink instead of water or for donating their own blood. I have no idea why did they use blood and how could they use their own blood in various purposes except donating blood, but, I'm sure that they were having a tendency of being a psycho. Phew, I can understand the next reason luckily. Next reason, is because they drank unpasteurized milk. It can be understandable since there should only have a few ways to pasteurize the milk. Pizza arriving faster than ambulance?!!

Have you ever thought about pizza, arriving faster than ambulance? Well, it sounds pretty funny but actually, in America, a pizza can get to your house quicker than ambulance and the top reason why it is because usually, there are more men for delivering than for the people who drive their ambulance cars and also, people who work in First Aid, work voluntarily. So for instance, if a person orders a pizza, one of the workers who works in pizza place, he only has to bring a pizza bag with him on the scooter and drive to that person's house easily. However, for paramedics, they have to gather some supporters around him and have to drive the ambulance car to people who are in trouble, while the pizza man can go through the cars and arrive faster.
